Highland Course :Hole 6 Hercules’ Highway

Magnificent PAR 5, winding down to where it ultimately turns sharp right, forcing you to hit over water to a green, which has sadistically been designed with a water hazard set in the middle! Smash the drive and check how to set up your approach as a rare par is hard to find. One way is to lay up in front of the water or two if you are a long hitter then you may try to go for the green. This is easier to say than it is going to be done for there are many obstacles for you to negotiate along the way. I will leave the massive large double green for you to discover---Good Luck!

At 687 yards from the tips, this is one of the longest Par-5 anywhere on earth. It seems only Hercules can reach the green is two-but actually some ordinary Davids have done it. However, the uniqueness here is not the length which is just a circumstantial contribution to greatness. The real joy or agony lies in the peninsular-like ginormous green with a stunning elliptic pond in the center. Look across the surrounding lake and you will notice its sister – the No. 9 green – another giant with a huge bunker in the middle. Enjoy you day.
