Charity Programs

Wangjuntr Golf Park - by the initiative and directive of M.L. Prasobchai Kasemsant and his family – organizes two very successful charity programs aimed at uplifting education opportunities, standard of living and spirits of disadvantaged children/teenagers in the local communities. These programs have been well appreciated by the local social leaders in the area since 1998.

“To Be Number One in Golf&Sports Program” invites local students to become caddies and start golf training. The student-caddies earn some money to support their studies, at the same time the Club provide – free of charge – golf equipment and qualified professional to train them to develop golf skills. Each year, 100-200 students participate in this program. Student-caddies, who achieve good academic records and also develop promising golf skill, are awarded full scholarships to further their studies in universities and junior-colleges. Year 2007, 19 student-caddies receive such scholarships. The Club also donates sports equipment to 6 local schools annually. This program is becoming more recognized that the Sports Authority of Thailand and Honma (Thailand) have kindly supported the Club’s program in 2006.

“To Be Number One in Arts Program” encourages students in local schools to learn more and improve their skills in arts and craftsmanship – as well as instills in them the love of Nature and local culture. Each year students from grade 1-12 are asked to make their art works – drawings, paintings, handicrafts or art pieces – with the theme of Nature and local culture. All materials are provided by the Club. Winners in many categories are awarded partial scholarships for their studies. Each year 1,500-2,500 students participate in this program. Students’ art works are displayed in the Lodge and at the Proshop – and are for sale. Proceeds from sales of these art works go directly to the charity program. The Club is most grateful that in year 2007 many well known companies such as Ch. Karnchang Plc., Bangkok Expressway Plc., Bangkok Metro Plc. ….etc. kindly continue to support our program.
