Highland Course :Hole 13 Stairway to Heaven

Standing on this tee is similar to ‘base camp’ on Everest----before you is a mountain of a golf hole to climb. This daunting par-4 (one of the steepest par-4s in the world) will fill you with wonder. Up-up and away is the best way to tackle the 13 --which undoubtedly will be unlucky 13 for some! Oxygen masks are not included in your green fee package but my tip for this hole is to conserve as much of your energy as you can because mental fatigue-- not physical fatigue will take over once you’ve scaled the ‘peak’ of this hole and onto the vast putting surface at the summit.

Oh for the first time in your life, your eyes can see the great seven steps to heaven. Rice farmers in northern Thailand grow rice on the side of mountains by making giant steps of plateaux along the slope. Here the designers make you climb seven plateaux to the heavenly green on a mountain side 40 meters above the back tee. A birdy here is a once-in-a life-time gift from the sky, and a pinnacle of your golfing adventure.
